The Colonial Hotel
Sleep, quite literally, inside history.
There are hotels, and then there are houses with a past. The Colonial Hotel is of the latter kind — a restored arcaded mansion where verandahs look onto quiet courtyards, and where the afternoon sun falls through shutters that have seen a century and more of Colombo mornings.
Every room is a study in colonial elegance: tall ceilings, carved timber, cool tiles, and the unhurried luxury of a slower age — wrapped, of course, in every comfort the modern traveller could ask.
